Organic ice cream and coffee
In Ed's other kiosk we serve organic ice cream, coffee and soft drinks and even some sweets. But it's the ice cream that takes center stage. The ice cream comes from Pipers Glace in Hamburgsund.
Locally produced organic ice cream with roots in Italy
The company Pipers Glace was started in 1911 by the Italian Pietro Ciprian who opened his first ice cream factory and shop on Pipersgatan in Stockholm. The company is still run by the Ciprian family, but since 1996 the production has been moved to Hamburgsund on the Swedish west coast. We like that because it is close to Dalsland and therefore provides shorter transport distances and reduces the climate footprint. The fact that the ingredients are organic is of course also good.
