How the kiosk adventure began
The idea for the kiosk started at my parents’ kitchen table in the summer of 2020. Dad had seen an old kiosk, “Ed’s second kiosk” from 1929, seemingly forgotten in a junkyard in Ed. We decided to buy it and renovate it. To my disappointment, the kiosk had been sold, just a week earlier.

I decided then and there to build a new one. During the rest of the summer, I built a small model of the kiosk, took photos, and posted them on Facebook with a request to help me revive a piece of Dalsland's cultural history.
One who took the initiative was Erik Berg at Egnahemsfabriken in Tjörn, who works specifically to help people realize their house dreams, or rather learn to build, together. Together with Egnahemsfabriken, the Chalmers course Dare to build, and the art institution Not Quite in Fengerfors, we applied for and received funding for the project from Arkdes Think Tank.
