The history of the kiosk
Ed's second kiosk from 1929 was built by Georg Zakariasson. It stood at an intersection on Storgatan in Ed. However, few people remember or have heard of the kiosk because it only stood there for three years. The road was to be widened and the kiosk needed to be moved. Georg then had the opportunity to build a café instead, Cafe Terassen. The kiosk was therefore put aside and forgotten, until one day..

Almost a century later, in 2021, Per Normark spotted it, in a scrapyard by the earthen bridge in Ed. Some time later at breakfast, Per suggested to his son Erik, a little half-jokingly, that he should buy it. Erik brightened up but took the matter very seriously. We'll buy it! All said and done, the same day they went to Ed. But no kiosk was in sight. After a little research, they got hold of the descendant and owner, Ulf Zakariasson, who announced that he had sold it to a collector in Stockholm just days before. With great disappointment, the entire Normark family went home again. But Erik had an idea, I'll build one just like it! And so it was.
